This restored home is located a short distance away from the walled Alaverdi Monastery. It has been carefully resurrected by Bridge Innovation and Development and is situated on the road to Tusheti. With a wine tasting room under a pyramid of glass to its expansive terrace and small meeting room, the home is ready to welcome you to the center of the Alazani River valley. It is dedicated to sustainable approaches to tourism, using only locally grown products and home-made wine. It’s blue and white triple rooms have comfortable beds and the bathrooms are tiled and modern. Expansive views of the High Caucases rising from the valley in the distance form a snowy backdrop to the bright blue skies. Our Community Experience tour has been expanded to cover an additional half-day to introduce guests to traditional cheese-making.and includes round trip transport from Tbilisi.

    • Walk to historic Alaverdi Monastery grounds and visit the monastery winery and honey factory with a guide. with guide
    • Tour a local orchard and learn how small farms tend their fruti trees.
    • Visit a local entreprenuer with a private fishing farm. Catch your own and they cook it to perfection.
    • Become an expert at making traditional khachapuri or khinkali for lunch.
    • Take a churchkela workshop at Neli's place - a traditional Georgian desert made from grape juice and nuts. Take home your own creation!
    • Return to Alaverdi Blue for a traditional Georgian dinner
